On Friday, Jan. 22, Winter Storm Jonas stood poised to clobber the East Coast. Marietta College braced for impact as an ominous night turned into a winter wonderland come morning. According to the National Weather Service, the total snowfall recorded in the town of Marietta was a whopping 16 inches. Marietta College students may have preferred the storm hit on a weekday, but they embraced the opportunity to build snowmen, throw snowballs, sled down Harrison Hill, and capture the beauty of the snow-covered campus.

However, students weren’t the only people venturing into the snow with cameras in hand. Maureen Anderson, a friend of Traci Hart, a 1992 alumna, took one of the photos featured in the slideshow, and Nate Knobel of the Marietta College Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing contributed his work as well. Winter on the Marietta College campus is truly a thing of beauty to be appreciated by all!
