On March 28, the Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) fraternity organized a spaghetti dinner at Spagna's in Harmar to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A ticket to the meal cost $10, and about 240 people came out to support the cause. At the end of the night, the brothers had raised more than $1,500 for their philanthropy organization.

It was around 2 a.m., the time when most people would be asleep to rejuvenate for the following day. Officer Jim Weaver of the Marietta College Campus Police Department was not asleep.

He was on his night patrol of the campus finishing up his shift when suddenly there was yelling coming from the direction of the tennis courts.

Inside the Heart to Art Galleria, five artists are busy at work. With great care, they place small fragments of multicolored dichroic glass onto a black backing. Later, another artist will place clear pieces of glass on top and will fire the creations in a kiln until the glass pieces fuse.

In the early hours of the morning outside the doors of the Humane Society in Marietta, two dogs sat whimpering in a cardboard box.

The 6-inch-long, 3-inch-thick mats in their fur had formed into the perfect environment for fleas to infest, biting the dogs' skin and sucking their blood.

Nearing the end of my sixth semester at Marietta, I can safely say there isn't much on the campus that I haven't seen or done. However, April 8 was the first moment in my time here that I actually walked on the mall barefoot.

For the entire day, several students on our campus and others around the world went about their business without stilettos, trainers, sandals or anything else between the bottom of their feet and the ground.

Graduation is quickly approaching, and some seniors haven't found jobs yet. It is very frustrating for some and very frightening for others. Graduate school is always an option, but some can't afford to add more loans to their debt, and odds are a job isn't likely to fall into one's lap over the summer.

Well, it's the end of the year, and the end of my college career (YESSSSS), which means it's probably appropriate for me to do a farewell piece. I'd probably rupture something if I tried to do a really serious farewell speech, though, so instead it's going to follow my usual style: quirky and a little irreverent.
