Former Clinton assistant kicks off Black History Month

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion ushered in Black History Month last Friday with a luncheon featuring Keith Boykin. Boykin, a New York Times bestselling author and political commentator for CNBC, spoke to a full assembly in the Great Room of Andrews Hall that included students, faculty, staff and visiting Pioneer Scholars and their families. ‘Fracking’ series highlights consequences

On Thurs., Jan. 26., the Office of Civic Engagement (OCE) hosted a free and public community event series on the practice of "fracking," which correlates with Marietta College's Energy and Environment theme for the 2011-12 school year. Forensics team holds 108 awards, qualifies for national tournaments

The Marietta College Forensics Team took home 12 awards at the Ohio University Alumni Tournament on Jan. 29. Marietta competed against nine other schools at the tournament and won awards in seven different categories. Other schools that competed include Bowling Green State University, George Mason University, Marshall University, Miami University, Ohio University, Ohio Valley University, Seton Hall University, Ohio State University and Western Kentucky University.
