In four short months, Marietta College will add more alumni to its Long Blue Line. Indeed, May 13 is an exciting day for the class of 2012 to look forward to.

While moving to the next chapter of life can be exciting for soon-to-be alumni, wishing away the final days of your college education could be a big mistake. Making a countdown to spring break or end of the semester might be important to keep you on top of your assignments; however, for some people, it is only a reminder of how close their return to "the real world" actually is.

Yes, your college career is filled with disgusting food, late nights studying for random classes and sometimes even a quirky roommate. Yet, these are the days of freedom and unpredictable adventures! Never again will you have the energy, time or resources to do what you have to do, as well as everything you want to do.

Don't count down the days until graduation! Enjoy every moment and take advantage of every opportunity to spend time with the people who have made your four years at Marietta College enjoyable.

Reminisce on the days past and use the next four months to make even more memories. These are the days to remember.

Before you know it, you will be looking back on your college years, wishing you could return for just one day. Carpe diem.
