The annual Greek Weekend celebration at Marietta College took place from September 29-October 1st. The weekend started off strong with the Lip-Syncing competition while Chi Omega member and Panhellenic President, Natasha Didytch, mcee the event. There were special guest judges for the event including Richard Danford, Mary from Gilman, and Ellen Campbell. All chapters brought their own unique characteristics to the stage, but there had to be a winner. Taking home, the win was Delta Tau Delta with their lip-syncing rendition of “Somebody to Love” by Queen. Following in second place was Alpha Xi after performing the iconic song “When I Grow Up” by the Pussy Cat Dolls.” Taking home third place was Alpha Sigma Phi with “Kokomo” by the Beach Boys.

The Greek Weekend continued with a carnival night on 4th street Friday. Each chapter showed up with mayhem and fun. There were multiple activities that took place including a dunk tank, face painting, balloon popping, bowling, and knocking over cans. Sigma Kappa won the night with their pieing of the face. Marietta College’s President Bill Rudd helped with the night by volunteering with Chi Omegas dunk tank and Sigma Kappa’s pieing.

Greek Weekend ended with a formal on Saturday. The night included anything from a fry bar to a balloon wall. Representative from Delta Tau Delta and Sigma Kappa, the winners from the previous nights of the weekend had some fun with a little rock-paper-scissors competition. In the end, Delta Tau Delta won and the chapter got to take home a trophy for winning the annual weekend celebration.
