Our Cross Country Pioneers ran hard on October 28th at the Cross Country OAC’s hosted by Ohio Northern University. Men’s and women’s teams both placed 10th at OAC’s. The results are as followed:

Womens 6k

72nd- Junior, Isabelle Poling, 25:08.1

80th- Junior, Katlynn Wald, 25:44.0

98th- Junior, Mackenzie Moran, 27:33.8

100th- Sophomore, Annabel Malone, 27:38.4

103- Freshman, Kamryn Armstrong, 28:00.7

Women had a total time of 2:14:04, their average time was 26:48, and they collected a total score of 266 points. John Carroll finished in 1st place winning the women’s team title with 32 points. Four of five Marietta runners, Isabelle, Katlynn, Mackenzie, and Kamryn, set personal best times during the OAC Championship.

Mens 8k

136th- Freshman, Ian Alspaugh, 29:46.6

138th- Sophomore, Clark Wilson, 29:55.0

140th- Junior, Jack Hehr, 30:09.4

150th- Freshman, Cameron Logue, 31:34.6

151st- Senior, Aaron Rohr, 31:52.3

Men had a total time of 2:33:17, their average time was 30:39, and they collected a total score of 318 points. The men’s team title was also claimed by John Carroll as the finished with 25 points. Three of the five Pioneers, Alspaugh, Wilson, and Logue set personal best times at the OAC Championship as well.

Our runners also competed at NCAA D3 Regionals on November 11th. Women placed 38th and men placed 40th. John Carroll finished first for the men’s with 69 points and Calvin University finished first for the women’s with 90 points. The results for the Pioneers are as followed:

192nd- Junior, Isabelle Poling, 24:59.8

193rd- Junior, Katlynn Wald, 25:00.9

233rd- Junior, Mackenzie Moran, 26:08.9

243rd- Sophomore, Annabel Malone, 26:27.1

266th- Senior, Hope Adams, 29:34.4

Women had a total time of 2:12:10, their average time was 26:26, and they collected a total score of 1115 points.

Mens 8k

230th- Junior, Jack Hehr, 28:46.2

243rd- Sophomore, Clark Wilson, 29:21.4

247th- Freshman, Ian Alspaugh, 29:30.1

251st- Senior, Aaron Rohr, 29:45.3

265th- Freshman, Cameron Logue, 30:43.6

Men had a total time of 2:28:06, their average time was 29:37, and they collected a total score of 1222 points.

Cross Country is now joining indoor track to officially start their track season. Catch these athletes at our second home meet on January 12th, Pioneer Open.
